Will's love of music began at the age of five. When his mother, a graduate of Juilliard, introduced him to the piano . Classical lessons continued for 12 years. He performed in many concerts and won many awards. Trombone lessons began at the age of 11, playing through high school. Where he enjoyed the honour of becoming first Trombone in both the marching band and the orchestra. When Will was 12, he bought his first guitar. He began by watching other bands practice. Then he would come home and figure out what he had heard and seen. From memory. It became evident that Will could play by ear. This talent continues to this day.
Will has always been "A Sucker" for odd metered music. And as of late, has tried to incorporate Midi and computer generated sound into his work. "I have always been able to pick up an object and somehow, get music to come from it. I can play almost anything I hear, on a beer bottle. The trick is to know just how small a sip to take out first." He continues " For many years, I wanted to put together an orchestra, consisting of nothing but glass instruments.
"John McLaughlin is without a doubt my biggest influence. I've spent years trying to learn just a few of his masterpieces.
Other influences include Chick Corea, Bela Fleck and Pat Metheny.
Will is now a professional Pianist, Guitarist, Trombonist, and music composer. Currently using a variety of professional software to create his compositions. Nuendo, Reason, and Digital Performer.
