Wow. I'm so impressed. I marched for 5 years with Oregon, starting with Les Miserables (wow, 1990, that was 18 years ago?!! How is that possible?) ending in 1994. Trombone/Baritone section leader for the last 4. I'm so impressed that it's picked up momentum again. It's fantastic. The only person I know still involved is probably Dave.

Anyway, at the risk of sounding like a crazy old lady... the summers I spent marching for OHS turned out to be some of the most valuable experiences I had growing up. They taught me a lot about what a little discipline and pursuing excellence can do for you (sounds cheesey, but it's true). I honestly think I hold myself and others to higher standards in many endeavors in my life because of what was literally "drilled" into me on the pavement all those summers.

You guys should be proud. It's awesome. Keep it up.
